Milliput putty is a versatile and popular epoxy putty used by modelers, sculptors, and DIY enthusiasts for various applications. It is a two-part putty made up of two separate bars, one of which contains a hardener, and the other is a resin. Upon mixing equal parts of both bars, a chemical reaction is initiated, which gradually hardens the material into a strong, durable, and resistant mass in about 90 minutes.
One of the advantages of Milliput putty is its ease of use. It is easy to mix and apply and can be molded and sculpted using simple tools such as knives, spatulas, or sandpaper. This putty can also be thinned with water to achieve a smoother finish, making it suitable for creating complex shapes and details.
Another advantage of milliputis its versatility. It can be used for a wide range of applications, including model making, sculpting, and repairing different materials such as metal, wood, ceramics, plastics, and many others. Moreover, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and is resistant to water, heat, and chemicals, making it ideal for use in harsh environments.
Milliput putty also has excellent adhesion properties, which make it ideal for bonding different materials. It can be used to fill gaps, cracks, and holes, and can be sculpted into different shapes and textures. Once it dries, it can be carved, sanded, and painted to achieve the desired finish.
In addition, It has a long shelf life and can be stored for years if kept in a cool, dry place. If the putty becomes hard to mix, it can be softened by warming it up with a hair dryer or soaking it in warm water.
Overall, It is a versatile, easy-to-use, and durable epoxy putty that is widely used by hobbyists, artists, and DIY enthusiasts. Its ability to bond different materials, its resistance to water, heat, and chemicals, and its ease of use make it an essential tool for many projects.
In case of any interruption, while mixing it, you can preserve it by placing it in a deep freezer until you are ready to continue your work. The freezing process will maintain the state of the putty for around 24 hours, enabling you to resume your work without any difficulties.

Do you have to wear gloves for using Milliput putty?
Wearing gloves when using it is not strictly necessary, but it can be a good practice depending on your preferences and the specific project. Some people choose to wear disposable gloves to protect their hands from potential skin irritation or staining caused by the chemicals in the putty. Gloves can also help maintain cleanliness when mixing different colors of putty, especially in detailed or intricate work where precision matters. They can be particularly useful during cleanup, as epoxy putties can be challenging to remove from the skin once they harden.
However, whether or not you wear gloves ultimately depends on your comfort level and the nature of your project. If you decide not to wear gloves, ensure you wash your hands thoroughly after using this modeling material and avoid touching your face or eyes during the process. Adequate ventilation in your workspace is also important to minimize exposure to any fumes. Ultimately, the choice to wear gloves when working with it is a matter of personal preference and the precautions you’re willing to take for your skin and overall cleanliness.
