Tainted Grail TTRPG uses a customized version of the Story Arc System (SAS), first developed forShadows of Esteren, the most awarded French TTRPG, and adapted to include elements specific to theTainted Grailboard games. TheTainted Grail TTRPGsystem provides players with tools to understand and portray their character’s emotions and behaviors by focusing on their individual, moral, and human journey throughStory Arcsassociated with the 5 emblematic Colors of the board games. The game promotes immersion and roleplay, as each character follows a dedicatedAscension path, leading them to embrace (or reject) their inner power and become one of the Guardians of Avalon.

The Story Arc System also aims to capture the danger of armed confrontation. Although invested with singular power, and destined to a great fate, the characters remain vulnerable: any fight can prove fatal. Players are encouraged to carefully consider the outcome of a potential encounter and stay on the side of caution and strategy when engaging in combat. The island of Avalon is an unforgiving place, where death and the Wyrdness reign supreme. Only through teamwork and bravery will the Characters overcome the countless threats that await them
